Map Hang followed by strange problem

I had the map hang twice in a row, so as directed by this thread:

I deleted my "C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod folder."

This was followed by a slightly entertaining picture upon trying to join games:

(look at the angels).
